How to give us access to your Craft CMS homepage
To begin the backend audit we'll need access to your Craft CMS admin – here's how to give us access in the most secure, risk free way.
Create a New User for Honcho
- Log in to the Craft CMS Control Panel:
- Go to your Craft CMS admin URL (typically
yourdomain.com/admin
) and log in with your admin credentials
- Go to your Craft CMS admin URL (typically
- Navigate to Users:
- In the control panel, go to Users in the sidebar (typically located at
yourdomain.com/admin/users
)

- Create a New User:
- Click on the on the + New user button
- Add the Full Name as Honcho (optional)
- Add the Email as
[email protected]
- Check the 'Send an activation email now'
- Don't hit Save just yet
- Set Up Permissions for the New User
- Switch to the Permissions panel (still within the Create a new user page)
- Find General and select: Access the control panel (only)
- Find Section – Homepage and select: View entry (only)
- Now hit Save
At that point we'll receive an email from your Craft CMS install with login access. We'll let you know as soon as we're received it.
Delete the Honcho User from your Craft CMS website
Once the audit is complete, you can then simply delete the user you created for us.

- Search for the user with the email address
[email protected]
- Click the checkbox next to the email to delete
- Hit Delete
We'll then no longer have access to your Craft CMS admin area.
